Hi (yea yea I know you will probably say "oh no, not you again :'^( " and I'm so sorry for that bUT IT'S MY BLOG AFTER ALL-) !

----------------------------------------

In my first post, I summered a Web-Graphic Novel that I really like, so this time I'm going to talk about one of my favourites (science-fiction) novel : The Declaration.

In 2140, a medecine against mortality has been found : The Longevity.

Every person who takes this remedy has to sign the Declaration, in which case they accept to don't have children anymore, to prevent the overcrowding. But if they transgress this law, they go to jail and their kids get killed.

But in few countries, children are placed in Surplus Hall (sort of orphanage but here, kids are called Surplus and they are blamed every day for their "crime" in humanity to be "born unlawfully". They also learn every day how to become Valuable Asset and learn household tasks for the purpose of integrate the active population as servants, and work for the Legals people.)

The story takes place in Grange Hall, a Surplus Hall in Great Britain.

Surplus Anna (Surplus don't have any surname.) is a 15 years old serious Surplus that always followed instructions to be a "good element".

She hates her parents.

BUT

One day, a new Surplus arrives in Grange Hall : Peter.

An -recent- insolent surplus who seems to know Anna and her parents.

He will try to convince her to escape, because for him, they are not guilty.

----SHOOSH SORRY I'M NOT GOING TO SPOIL YOU THIS BOOK, JUST GET IT, it's so catchy and pleasant to read.
